Pick to Light (PTL) is an order picking device utilized in distribution centers and warehouses that guides order pickers through their task by using lights and LEDs on racks or shelves to identify and recognize pick positions. Compared to paper pick lists or so-called RF picking, pick-to-light systems improve picking efficiency. PTL is most frequently employed nowadays for choosing less-than-case amounts in high density/high velocity pick modules, even though it can be utilized for picking cases.
